Keywording rules for press photographs CaptionsPlease give images a clear and descriptive caption. At minimum the following information must be contained in the caption:
A caption does not have have to take the form of a sentence. Examples:
DescriptionIn the description you should give comprehensive informationen about an image. The following items are important for editorial images:
Here you should, however, write complete sentences. Examples:
KeywordsThe best method to ensure that an image is found is give it a well thought out set of keywords. To achieve this choose keywords that describe the image and are visible in the image. Please only enter relevant terms and be sure to avoidGeben keyword-spamming. This will inevitably lead to the image being deleted from the database and, in the event of repeated cases, the press photographer account being deactivated. Not only search engines classify this as illegal SEO that leads to us being downgrades in searches but also falsifies the search results. So annoyed customers are unlikely to return for future projects. It's in also your own interest to avoid keyword spamming. Keyword spamming is among other criterea: Persons and items, that are not visible in the image; related places that have nothing to do with the location of the photograph; emotions and ambience, that have nothing to do with the photograph and many more.
Primary keywordsSpecify the most important keywords here (max. 8) . Hits on the primary keywords are displayed further forwards in the search result.

Choosing photographs to upload Making the right choice regarding which photographs to upload is not only time und storage space friendly for you and us, but first and foremost it's customer friendly. Customers do not enjoy clicking through hundreds of similar images of the same person at the same event but prefer to get to a suitable image quickly. The question is therefore: To upload or not to?
Don't upload an image in lots of similar variations. Do select the best images of an event, object, or person and only upload images that differ from each other, i.e. only 3 images of a person from a red carpet shoot - ideally a portrait, a full length portrait and a profile shot. Absolutely not a series of 100 images offering only slightly differing view points and poses. |
Accreditation Service Photographers with a press photographer account have access to our "accreditation service". If you want to take part in events that require a accreditation for press photography, we can assist you with a letter of approval. Since PantherMedia may only send one or very few photographers to an event, accreditations are rare. Please contact us directly for accreditations. |
